An Antique “Whitehall” Open Faced Pocket Watch.

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique “Whitehall” open faced pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.2mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is rolled gold and is stamped Meteor. The case has light surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The watch glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial is signed “Whitehall”, probably a brand or model name, and the bottom of the dial has the abbreviation JW&S Ltd, more than likely the original retailer. There are a couple of hairline cracks to the dial. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
