Antique Silver Toast Rack - Six Slice -1911

This fine ANTIQUE SOLID SILVER TOAST RACK has six compartments divided by a rounded frame supporting a central handle. The rack, made by J.Sherwood & Sons in 1911, has a oval body / base that and is supported by four sloped and engraved feet. The toast rack has seven delightfully shaped dividers resulting in six toast sections and the central divider has a shaped handle on the top.

This lovely toast rack has not been engraved with any family crests or initials and one end has a full set of clearly defined hallmarks as described below. This is made from exceptional good heavy gauge silver, is of fine quality and is in exceptional condition and could be used as intended as a toast rack or as a superb desk top letter rack or would make a wonderful addition to any collection and would enhance any table setting.
