Rare Antique "Smokers Portmanteau" Box - Cigars

Description

A rare and quite wonderful antique smokers compendium dating to around 1900 / 1910, Edwardian in era.

The box is the form of a trunk, covered in vibrant red leather with two leather strap handles, one each side. Yes, the exterior has seen some action but could be re-polished with red polish if desired, however the leather is all intact.

The interior in contrast is in superb and almost untouched condition with the cigar and tobacco containers complete with original bone knobs and interiors. There is a box of " Lights " or matches, totally original with a sliding lid and original strike.

The central compartment has an integral tray for cigar ends when cut off.

A really special and wonderful piece the like of which I have not had the pleasure of owning in the past. Measures 9" x 5 3/4" x 4" tall.
