Description

A top quality jar signed by luxury retailer " Swaine & Adeney Ltd. London W ", still in existence today as Swaine, Adeney & Brigg in the prestigious St. James' are of London, with Royal Warrants to both Her Majesty The Queen and HRH The Prince of Wales.

This wonderful dressing table jar or box is very Art Deco inspired with a chunky piece of gilded sterling silver creating the lid. The top is inset with a glossy piece of Shagreen and mounted with a highly decorative monogram..

The silver is hallmarked on the inside of the lid for London 1928 together with the makers mark CD.

Quality and style all the way and suitable for either a lady or gentleman. Excellent condition with light surface ware to the gilding, mentioned purely for accuracy. Measures 3 1/2" x 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" deep.
