The solid or sterling silver cup is removable with a gilded interior to protect the silver.
There are two clear hallmarks, one on the cup and another on the silver top, both matching for London 1891 together with the makers mark S M & Co, making this a true Victorian example.
The top is the bayonet type fitting requiring a turn and lift action to open, the hinge is in perfect working order.
A most attractive shape and in excellent condition, measuring 5 3/4" x 3 1/2".
