Antique Maxim pocket watch by Droz & Cie.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, signed Maxim, which is working nicely. The name Maxim was registered by at least 17 companies but we can tie this one down to Droz & Cie / the Berna Watch Company, who registered the mark in 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel and is in good condition, just a slight hint of unevenness to the back but nothing too detrimental at all.

The watch glass has a small chip underneath but quite tricky to see with the naked eye.

The dial is in good condition with blued steel pin-set hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
