A splendid Japanese Meiji period articulated bronze study of a crab finished in tremendously life-like detail with 24 articulations in the legs, 10 in the claws, and moving eyes it is also hinged at the back acting as a box (probably a kogo). This fine example of Japanese artistry is in excellent condition and measures 5 ½ inches in diameter.
