A Victorian Sterling Silver Tatting Shuttle

A rare item of sewing interest, this is a charming Sterling silver tatting shuttle for lace making. The shuttle is marked Sterling and is from the late Victorian period. The case is elongated and tapering with embossed acanthus leaves and a vacant cartouche on each side. There is an attaching ring to the end, presumably for a chatelaine. A lovely item, both collectable and usable. Dimensions below.

Hallmarks :- Marked Sterling each side and 925 on the central column.
