Description

A very good Victorian Gothic oak drum table with brass makers plaque for T.H.Filmer & Sons of Oxford Street, London. The octagonal shaped top with cross banded and carved edge with inset black leather writing surface which has blind and gold tooling. The frieze having 4 real and 4 dummy drawers all with deep crisp decorative carving and unusual brass ring handles, escutcheons and working locks and keys. The base having a large centre column with 4 matching smaller columns all ring turned with reeding and carved detail. The stepped platform base with out swept shaped legs with brass and white porcelain casters. Condition- Very good. Dimensions:- Height…31’’/ 79cm. Width & Depth…48’’/ 122cm. Knee Height…26’’/ 66cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £95.
