A Charming Victorian Silver Tape Measure

A charming Victorian silver tape measure. This delightful item of sewing ware has a repousse silver casing with a winding handle to retract the tape. The original blue silk tape is present but sadly there is loss, with it starting at 15". The casing is held by a chain and attaching ring, presumably for a chatelaine. A lovely and collectable piece of early sewing ware. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good with no crack, breaks or losses to silver. The first portion of the tape is missing.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable. Full set to front, with part set to back and winder.

Date :- Birmingham 1900.
