Japanese Meiji Period Lacquer Oni Noh Mask With Glass Eyes

A fine Japanese Meiji period lacquer noh mask depicted as an Oni with horns, coloured a darker shade of red with wonderful detail the mask mouth open with glass eyes and string attached at the back to hang. The character would have had horse hair eyebrows, moustache and sideburns which only remains in places, otherwise the piece is in good overall condition commensurate with age (see images) and measure 5 inches in length.
