A charming Japanese Meiji period Satsuma brooch of circular form, intricately hand painted with a flock of birds in flight over reeds and flowers, highlighted in gilt. This splendid brooch is signed on the reveres with a hole for attachment and is in excellent condition measuring 2 ¼ inches in diameter.
