A fine Japanese Meiji period Imperial Satsuma six-sided vase hand painted and gilded on each side alternately with a repeating imperial motif on three sides and three different land & sea depictions on the others, finished with an intricate decorative border around the rim. This splendid Satsuma vase has a rich crackle glaze and has a gilt signature on the underside below the Gosu blue Shimazu mon, it is in excellent condition and stands 6 ¼ inches tall.
