Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
To the centre there is a full length carved mirrored door with carved frieze to the top and flanked on either side by a plank door again with carved frieze to the top. All of the dividing columns have carved rose and patera and all the doors with original brass handles. Internally it is full length hanging to one side above a single shoe box drawer and to the other side there is double half hanging space above two short drawers over two long drawers . The whole being raised on a deep plinth base and separates for ease of transporting.

Charles Bevan was a Gothic revivalist and leading member of the Aesthetic and Arts and Crafts movement in the 1860s and a leading designer and manufacturer of fine furniture.
