1940s Lms Railway Pocket Watch and Albert

Description

A 1940s presentation pocket watch and albert.

The watch has a Swiss 15-jewel stem-winding movement, probably a Cortébert, which is working nicely.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated. There is a long service inscription to the back of the watch, from London, Midland & Scottish Railway Engineering Department. Both the case and the lens are in good condition with just minor marking, nothing serous at all.

The dial is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

The watch comes with a single chain, 36cm long including the T-bar and the clasp.

The watch and chain will be sent in a new presentation box.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
