Two 18th-19th Century Brass Chargers

Description

Two lovely 18th-19th century brass chargers. One depicts Hercules wrestling a lion with the Latin inscription " Transeat in exemplum vitae vis" which translates " Let the force of life stand as an example". The other charger depicts two farm folk carrying a large crop and also has an inscription "Ave Cratia Plena- Anno Domini 1503 " Which translates "Hail full of grace, in the year of out lord 1503" .

Both chargers are in excellent condition, stands not included.

The Hercules dish measures 41cm diameter by 4.5cm deep.

The dish with the farmer folk measures 40.5cm diameter by 6cm deep.
