Antique Edwardian Mahogany Bureau

Description

Very smart, good quality antique Edwardian mahogany bureau with some unusual & useful features. Firstly, there are two drawers above the bureau flap. Secondly, the bureau flap is curved on the outside. All the front section is flame mahogany & there is a lovely pattern running all the way down. There are three graduated drawers below the flap with original brass handles & locks. The back is polished & this bureau sits on tapered spade end legs. The flap opens up & is supported by extra strong hinges. Inside there is a tooled leather writing surface & small drawers with a shelf above. This bureau is in excellent condition & dates from the 1890-1910 period.

Depth – 18 inches, 46 cm

Height – 42 inches, 106 cm

Knee height – 27 inches, 69 cm
