Description

A lovely 19th Century farmhouse table, most likely French, with a superb twin plank elm top and a small drawer to the side. The table stands on straight legs joined by a central stetcher. It is a good size being just over 5 1/2 feet long but remaining quite narrow. Comfortably seats 6.

The table has a lot of character and the patination and wear on the top is superb. The planks have naturally warped a little over time but the surface is still perfectly good to use. There are some old historic woodworm holes in the legs and signs of age and use but it is a solid and sturdy piece and all worm has been treated as a precaution. The end of the legs have been tipped slightly to make the table a perfect sitting height with a comfortable leg clearance of 25" (63cm) all around.
