Description

A gents 9ct gold cushion cased wrist watch, 1940s.

The watch has a Swiss 17-jewel hand-winding movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 29mm wide excluding the winding crown and 29mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Chester 1945 together with the name Stolkace, a British watch case manufacturer. The back of the watch has a charming inscription, 'Laura to Albert, May 21 1946'.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in its original finish. There is a little marking but overall the condition is good for a 1940s piece.

A later blue leather strap has been fitted.
