George III Open Dresser Base C.1780.

Description

Lovely late 18th.c. oak open Welsh dresser base c.1780. Two plank oak top with an applied moulding below. Over three large elm lined drawers with particularly attractive fronts boasting a cockbeaded edge, fruitwood crossbanding, ebony and boxwood stringing and majority original brass work. Straight apron with a shaped bracket where it meets the legs. Oak panelled sides and elm back rail. Raised on slim tapering square legs, standing a little taller than many we see. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
