Victorian Bronze Column Lamp

19th century
Description

Circa 1900 this tall, bronze column lamp has three elegant lion's claw feet and stands on a base shaped as a curvy triangle. See photos 3 and 4.

It measures 56cm up to the very top of the light fitting and 53cm to the base of the lamp holder and the widest part across the feet is 23cm. It is very heavy, weighing nearly 4kgs.

The lamp has been rewired to UK specifications using dark flex cable and fitted with an online switch and is in very good condition with no signs of damage or repair.

The decorative shell shape in the middle of the bottom of the column shown in the main photograph isn't repeated on the other two sections. We don't know if this was part of the original design or whether the other two pieces were removed a long time ago.

As we no longer sell through a retail outlet, if the buyer can arrange collection from us in SW London we will pack it safely and offer a discount on the price.

Otherwise postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price and for outside areas and abroad, please contact us for a delivery quote.
