Spelter Lamp by a J Scotte

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1905-1925 this lovely spelter figure of a young girl holding a lamp was made in the A J SCOTTE foundry in France and the signature can be seen clearly on the back of the base. (See last photo)

The lamp measures 42cm in height up to the tip of the lightbulb, or 35cm to the top of her head, and the base is 12.5cm deep by 9cm wide.

The Scotte foundry operated from 1885 - 1925, and were known for the fine details they managed to create in their figures, and this is a good example of their work.

The lamp has been completely rewired to UK specifications and it takes a small bayonet lightbulb.

Postage and packing within the UK mainland only is included in the price and for outside areas of the UK or abroad, please contact us for a quote for delivery.
