Superb Antique Edwardian Mahogany & Ormolu Adams Style Double Bestead C1900

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a stunning antique edwardian adams style double bedstead and dating from aorund 1900. Constructed form solid mahogany it has a deep cornice top rail with dental moulding and above arched panels with acanthus carving to each end and with a shaped and carved central panel with ormolu mount to the top and adams style vase to the base either side of which are shaped slatted supports and all above a deep mahogany panelled base. To the top of each side post is a decorative ormolu mount.

The head and footboards are the same and it has its original screw in side irons.

This beautiful bed is in very good condition and with a rich deep patination to the mahogany I am sure that whoever buys this will be very pleased with their purchase.

It measures: 42" high to headboard X 37" high to footboard X 82 " long X 54" wide and takes a standard double matress.
