Large Antique Georgian Chippendale Mahogany Side Hall Library Desk Chair C1780

Description

This is a lovely large georgian chippendale style mahogany library chair and dating from around 1780. It has a nicely shaped back rail with a pierced and carved vase shaped central back splat and shepherds crook shaped armrests which are incised to the handrest. It has a drop in leather seat pad that has been reupholstered and in very good condition and it stands on squared legs joined by an h stretcher.

This is a lovely chair of quality and in very good condition with good colour and deep patination to the mahogany and oozing the charm and character of the period.

Measures: 39" high X seat height 18" X 22" deep X 22" wide
