Description

A fine quality burr walnut inlaid Victorian Period antique library table. Having a rectangular top with an inset green leather writing surface with gilt tooling and a marquetry inlaid border. Having two mahogany lined frieze drawers with marquetry banding and high quality Chubb & Co four lever locks. With turned finials and supported on four turned, fluted and finely carved columns with acanthus carved cabriole supports, whorl feet with inset brass castors and united by a turned, acanthus carved and fluted stretcher. This library table is free standing and has dummy drawers to the reverse. English circa 1870-1880
