Description

Useful little Arts & Crafts leather top fireside box seat c.1910. Original plaited leather seat with distinctive dished sides on a mahogany box stool. Open the lid to reveal a removable metal liner, ideal for logs, coal or kindling etc. Maker unknown but very much in the manner of the plaited leather top Thebes style stools made by Arthur Simpson of Kendal. Very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
