Pair Sheraton Period Demi-lune Tables

Description

A good PAIR of late 18th century DEMI-LUNE TABLES, in good condition, one fitted with baize as a CARD table, the other veneered inside as a TEA table.

The well-figured tops are crossbanded in tulipwood, with boxwood stringing to the friezes. Each tapering leg, which terminates in spade feet, features an oval marquetry 'batswing' panel as surmount, and both have twin gateleg action to the rear. 36ins wide; 18ins deep; 29ins high. (91.5 x 45.5 x 73.5cms)
