Description

An impressive French mantle clock with well cast gilt ormolu case mounts. Surmounted by a vase and floral mounts to the case front and sides. An attractive convex enamel dial with floral chasing and finely pierced gilt hands. A white marble case. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell. Signed to the mechanism by the maker Japay Freres. Circa. 1890.
