Antique English Oak & Silver Plate Tray by Roberts and Belk C.1890

Description

A delightful and highly sought-after tray by the well renowned silversmith, Roberts and Belk and dating to around 1890/1900.

What makes this a charming example are the four original horse hoof feet which it sits on. The solid English Oak base is surrounded with a gallery and a large central mounted vacant cartouche to the centre.

The underside is where the mark can be found for the silversmith and it is also signed by the Yorkshire retailer.

Excellent condition spanning 21 1/2" handle to handle x 13" x 1 3/4" tall.
