Description

An oak and mahogany crossbanded longcase clock. A swan neck hood pediment with brass capped turned hood columns. Good detailing to the case with rosewood and satinwood inlays. An attractive arched painted dial with a hunting scene in the arch. Date and seconds indicators. An 8-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell.

Thomas Lee Taylor of Pontefract is recorded in Loomes' 'Watch and Clockmakers of The World' book as working 1826-1837.
