Description

A good quality 19th.Century oak barometer decorated with carved oak leaves and acorns. The bevel edged glass encloses the engraved bone register with double vernier system and signed Chadburn Bros. Albion Works, Sheffield. And Opticians to H.R.H. the late Prince Consort. Dated Oct. 14th. 1851.The thermometer also behind bevel edged glass and marked in Centigrade and Fahrenheit. The cistern has a shield shaped cover with carved oak leaves and acorns. In good original condition with original set keys. Dimensions :- Height…40’’/ 101.5cm. Width…6’’/ 15.5cm. Depth…2.75’’/ 7cm. Delivery to most of U.K. mainland £38.
