A Charming Silver & Lilac Guilloche Enamel Compact

1900 - 1920
Description

A charming silver and lilac guilloche enamel miniature compact. This lovely piece has a circular body with inset hinged lid. To the top there is an attaching loop for a fob or chatelaine chain. The compact retains the original mirror to the inside of the lid and the enamel is in excellent condition. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good with no splits or dents. There are a few tiny dimples to the silver and some scratching to the inside. The mirror has some foxing, commensurate with age and use. The enamel is in excellent condition.

Date :- Birmingham 1922.

Hallmarks :- Clear and readable.

Maker :- Crisford and Norris.

Height :- 4 cms.

Width :- 3.5 cms.

Depth :- 1 cm.
