Description

An unusual and wonderful quality mid-Victorian inlaid walnut OTTOMAN or MAGAZINE STOOL in fine original condition.

This attractive and useful piece (which may be ideal as a 'Coffee Table') features an upholstered top, which hinges open to reveal a fitted and divided interior, perfect for magazines, newspapers and books etc. All the four sides are veneered in finely-figured burr walnut, beautifully inlaid with scrollwork etc., with turned and reeded legs, terminating in pretty turned feet and original castors. Superb quality and an impressive centrepiece. 30ins x 19ins x 20ins high (76 c 48.5 x 51cms).
