A Magnificent Mahogany Inlaid Edwardian Period Wardrobe by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple

Description

A magnificent mahogany inlaid Edwardian Period wardrobe by Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. The large "princess" wardrobe with a pierced swan neck pediment with acanthus carving and marquetry inlay. The central section has stunning marquetry inlaid panelled doors enclosing a lined and shelved interior, above a recessed central section with a bevelled mirror and three rectangular mahogany lined drawers with fine marquetry inlaid detail to the drawer fronts. The twin bevelled glass end doors open to reveal newly lined interiors with brass hanging rails and hooks. Having reeded canted corners, solid mahogany ends, the whole supported on a solid mahogany plinth. Each locked stamped S.P & B. English circa 1900-1910.

Dimensions: 97" high x 76" wide x 23" deep

Condition: This wardrobe is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. Relined in a high quality lining fabric.
