Victorian Walnut Policeman’s Truncheon

A great piece of social history, this is an early “Parker” 233 Holborn truncheon it is painted with a crowned VR cypher and below a Gold bordered Cartouche with the words “EARDINGTON CONSTABLE” in Gold

The truncheon is turned in Walnut with a ringed grip and the compressed pommel is stamped Parker 223 Holborn

A good honest piece unrestored piece, it is 17.5” and 1.5” diameter
