Mathilde du Monceau was born 1877, in Schaerbeek (Brussels) and died 1952, in Schaerbeek. She painted mainly landscapes, flowers and sometimes industrial landscapes. She trained with Adrien de Witte and Auguste Donnay at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Liège. Du Monceau is listed in the Benezit Dictionary of artists.
