Long Upholstered Day Bed C.1860.

Description

Splendid mid 19th.c. button upholstered chaise longue or daybed c.1860. Longer than many we see and of identical design to both sides meaning it can be used with the raised end to the left or right hand side. Roll over backrest above a very comfortable sprung seat with a rounded end. Upholstered in a vintage crimson red velvet. Raised on turned mahogany legs with large original brass and pot castors. Very good unrestored condition, solid and sturdy. Small burn mark to the surface of the upholstery, otherwise clean and serviceable covers.
