Tall Mahogany Open Bookcase C.1850.

Description

Unusual mid 19th.c. mahogany open bookshelves c.1850. In two pieces, standing 96" tall, with four adjustable shelves in the top and one in the deeper base section. Flared cornice and particularly good crisply carved scrolling corbels to the top, crossbanded edge and moulded plinth to the base. Note also the crossbanded fronts and the pierced and hinged dust covers to each shelf. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
