Queen Anne Style Walnut Chest on Stand C.1920.

Description

Super quality early 20th.c. Queen Anne style walnut chest on stand c.1920. Top section with two short drawers over three long drawers of graduated depth, on a stand with three more small drawers. Burr walnut veneered drawer fronts with crossbanded edges, herringbone inlays and pretty shaped drop handles. The top features a moulded and crossbanded cornice and canted front corners with carved fluted detail. The base has a crossbanded waist moulding, shaped apron across the front and sides (cockbeaded on the front) and raised on elegant cabriole legs with pad feet. Oak drawer linings. Excellent condition and particularly good colour.
