Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 1900s.
This is an amazing and very heavy chandelier, the main frame of the light is in iron which has superb grey/green verdigris patina, this in turn is set with age darkened gilded brass leaves, sconces and centre piece.
The 8 arms are hung with tear drop pendants in amber and amethyst, higher up the light is hung with more amber and generous chains, the brass sconces are hung with yet more long icicles.
At the top there is an attractive ceiling Rose above upward scrolling acanthus leaves
The light is in working condition, it will need to be installed by a very strong electrician
The chandelier is 36” in diameter and 39” high
