Unusual Antique English Sterling Silver Vesta - Cigar Case Form

Description

A wonderful and rare example of an antique English solid or sterling silver match strike or Vesta in the form of a seven finger cigar case.

Both the front and back are beautifully engraved and the front has a central shield shaped cartouche which is vacant and could be personalized if desired.

The lid is sprung and shuts tightly with a snap, just as it should be. The inside rim is where the British hallmark can be found for Birmingham 1905, a true Edwardian example.

Superb condition measuring 1 7/8" x 1 1/2".
