Pair of Antique Victorian Deep Buttoned Armchairs

Description

Pair of original antique Victorian armchairs that have just been re-upholstered in a very expensive velvet fabric by the previous owners. Whoever upholstered them did a wonderful job, but the previous owners moved house & they just didn't fit in. They are deep buttoned & fully sprung, so are very comfortable. The cabriole legs are beautifully carved & sit on original brass casters. I would date them to around the 1840-60 period.

Depth – 27.5 inches, 70 cm

Height – 31.5 inches, 80 cm

Seat height – 15 inches, 38 cm
