Multi Drawer Burr Walnut Chest

1900 - 1920
Description

An excellent burr walnut chest of drawers, or commode, with a large number of drawers. Very well constructed in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The rectangular top sits over an arrangement of 2 banks of 4 drawers, all fitted with their original brass handles. The drawers are lockable and a key is supplied. The chest stands on stylised carved cabriole legs depicting eagles heads and terminating in ball and claw feet. Carved shell motifs can be found to the freeze. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, with a great colour and patina. This unusual and versatile chest would sit well within a number of different room scenarios within the modern home, ie bedroom, living room, dining room etc. Offered for sale in excellent overall condition.
