Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The plinth is decorated to resemble flagstones and on this sits two "milk churns", one for mustard including a ladle shaped spoon, a pepper and a "coopered wooden pail" acting as the open salt, gilded on the interior to protect the metal from the salt.
The base is where the diamond shaped British diamond shaped design registration lozenge can be found which can be dated to September 23rd, 1871.
Excellent condition with magnificent detailing, measuring 6" x 4 1/4" and standing 6" tall.
