Antique Victorian Childs Correctional High Chair

19th century
Description

A beautiful example of a Victorian child's correctional chair. It is made in beech with a cane seat and an upright back on turned legs with splayed feet. The chair is sturdy and structurally sound with a nice original finish and a rich colour and patina. The cane is in excellent undamaged condition and there are no major damages to the chair. There are minor signs of age and use and a small split in the wood around the seat but nothing detrimental and it displays very nicely.

The chair stands approximately 38" high and the seat is 13" deep by 14" wide.
