Description

Very smart late Georgian mahogany chest of drawers c.1820. Single piece solid mahogany top with an applied reeded moulding to the edge. Over two short and three long drawers of graduated depth. With particularly well figured flame mahogany veneers arranged in a continuous symmetrical pattern across the drawer fronts, with satinwood string to the edges and crossbanded surround. Retaining the original brass knobs cast with a lion’s mask to the centre of each. Raised on tall bracket feet front and rear. Solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Excellent condition and a lovely mellow colour. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
