Lancaster Antiques has dated this piece to the Edwardian era.
The lamp has been rewired to UK specifications using flex cable and fitted with an online switch.

The base has a label on the front saying DON JUAN, and the clothing on the cavalier is of the best quality. He is wearing one glove whilst holding another, and in his other hand is the tall nicely shaped pole. His cavalier's boots, the sword, hat and the buttons on his breeches are all very finely detailed. The period pale pink/brown shade came with the lamp but a reproduction opaque shade could be used if preferred and we would be happy to suggest a source. It measures 17cm in height and the pole holding the light is 57cm.
