Pair of French Walnut Louis Xv Style Bergere Armchairs

19th century
Description

A good pair of French walnut bergere armchairs in Louis XV style, circa 1900, upholstered in floral green flock velvet fabric with nailed borders and a loose feather filled cushion, the channel moulded walnut frames with foliate carved detailing.

Height of backs 83cm, width of seat at front edge 60cm, depth of seat 52cm.

In good overall condition, the fabric is pretty clean and unworn and feather cushions are nice and plump. There are a few studs missing to the back of one of the chairs which could easily be replaced.
