Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the Regency era.
It has shaped arm supports and stands on cabriole legs. Newly recovered over existing upholstery which is sound (sprung) in a cream self-pattern brocade. Quite a low chair, so would make a wonderful bedroom or dressing table chair.
