Silver Bowl 1800

Description

A Silver Bowl.

The helmet shaped bowl with a reeded edge hinged handle, conforming to the shape of the bowl. The bowl with a reeded edge rim, above decoration of laurel leaves, and swagged flowers surrounding central reserves. The bowl tapering to a waisted stem, and thence spreading to a stepped and concave curved foot, decorated as per the bowl and finished with a reed edge foot.

Hallmarked for William Adby, London 1800.

Height 4 3/4 inches, handle down, width 6 1/4 inches, depth 4 12 inches.
